Chiropractic Marketing
It doesn’t matter if you are the most gifted healing professional on the planet – If your marketing stinks, then patients will never learn of your practice and as a result, your practice will never live up to it’s potential.
Marketing is the KEY to your chiropractic practice’s success.
A great marketing strategy for your chiropractic practice lets everyone know who you are and most importantly, what you do for the good people who live in your community!
Great marketing lets people in your chiropractic practice’s neighborhood who find themselves in pain think of YOUR chiropractic practice first!
A lot of chiropractic professionals are hesitant to try to “market” their services, with good reason. Marketing your chiropractic practice is an art form as well as a science. You don’t want to appear like the local car dealer promoting his annual “tent sale” with your marketing. Instead, you need to educate and woo potential patients.
Marketing your chiropractic practice is an art…
one that is nine parts education, one part promotion.
You’ve been to chiropractic marketing seminars… where old timers will stand up and tell you how they built their practice without any formal marketing and you can too.
Times have changed… and the information highway is behind a lot of the change.
If you suspected that the web is an important key to successfully market your chiropractic practice, then you’re right… and you’re wrong.
You’re right… the information highway has created a more skeptical “street wise” consumer. This new “educated” consumer has actually been GOOD for chiropractors… because your best patients have always been well educated patients.
On the other hand, you’d be wrong in the fact that people are still the psychologically wired the same as they were in the old timer’s days. So while today’s patients may be “wiser”, they still need to build trust with you BEFORE they’ll even pick up the phone to schedule an appointment.
In the old timer’s days, that trust was built via WORD OF MOUTH.
In days of old, a woman would talk to the girls in her neighborhood bridge group about how her husband visited a local chiropractor and how he CURED his back pain. Later, when another woman’s spouse suffered a similar ache and pain, she would let her “fingers to the walking” and look up that chiropractor in the yellow pages. She would then march her husband into the same chiropractor she had heard about during her bridge game so he too could experience drug free pain relief without invasive surgery.
That’s the way the game USED to be played.
These days, people don’t know their neighbors. They play cards online. They even keeping in touch with family and friends online.
They’re heading to the web to find information using increasing sophisticated hand held computers – from iPads to iPhones and dozens of other hand held computers and cell phones to find review sites, blogs and social media sites which are all quickly replacing the “old fashioned” printed yellow page directories.
And you wondered why the WORD OF MOUTH advertising doesn’t work like it used to for chiropractors anymore!
Word of mouth marketing has changed – it’s now being called “social media marketing” because that’s how consumers are communicating these days – online.
The yellow pages are quickly becoming obsolete… is your website ready to pick up the slack?
