STEP TWO: Register a domain name (optional)
Even though your blog is free, you'll still want to secure an easy
to remember, easy to spell domain name and point it to your free blog
- so prospective patients can find it!
If you ever decide to run a newspaper ad - a radio ad- or even a
television ad - you'll need an easy to remember, easy to spell - easy
to pronounce domain name.
Register your
domain
name with GoDaddy. GoDaddy offers free url forwarding - and
you're going to want to forward this domain name to your blog.
Domain Name Forwarding means that when someone types in your DOMAIN
NAME - they'll be taken to your blog at Healrite.com.
You'll use the URL contained within the welcome email from Healrite.com
(http://healrite.com/userid) to set up your domain name forwarding.
Be sure to choose Email Forwarding if you want to use that domain
name for email as well.
This is not essential - and you can choose to do this at a later
date. It will make it easier to patients to find you if you plan
to promote your blog "offline" in newspaper ads, radio ads or
television ads.
